What is CBD?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is an active compound of the hemp and cannabis plants, but although they’re from the same Cannabis sativa L. family, they have different chemical compositions.
The THC (the part that gets you high) and other psychoactive substances are virtually non-existent, meaning that using CBD products is both legal and safe with no risk of addiction.
It’s believed that CBD acts on our body’s endocannabinoid system and most of the current scientific research focuses on the benefits this non-intoxicating compound can have on our wellbeing.
CBD is a relatively new product in the UK so we’re unable to make any health claims about the use of this product. What we can say is that we have customers who regularly use our CBD products for pain relief, migraines and insomnia and have given us positive feedback.
If you’re thinking about trying CBD for a specific ailment, we encourage you to research CBD for yourself – there’s plenty of information out there.
If you’re new to CBD, it’s advisable to start with a low dose and build up your intake gradually during the course of a few weeks, until you find the dosage that best suits your needs. Remember, we’re all different and can react in different ways.
If you’re taking any prescribed medication or have any medical conditions, always consult your doctor or pharmacist before using CBD products.
