Dovo Black Star Straight Razor Green Pakkawood & Black Anodised Blade
Made in Germany by Dovo of Solingen, this Black Star straight razor is produced using Swedish, hollow ground, carbon steel to the highest standard.

It has a 5/8 inch blade with a round point, 24K gold etching, a glossy black powder coating on the spine and the handle is finished with pure green Pakkawood.

Often used in knife and cutlery handle production, Pakkawood is specially designed to be waterproof and is much more resistant to warping than real wood.

Sharpened, honed and ready to go!

CAUTION: Straight razors like this one are serious tools that should only be used by very experienced users and can cause serious injury in the wrong hands!

CARE INSTRUCTIONS: This straight razor requires special care to keep it at its best.  The cutting edge needs to be protected from contact or impact with any hard surface at all times.  After each shave, you will need to clean and dry your straight razor with a soft paper towel, taking care not to touch the cutting edge, then strop it to keep the blade sharp.  Use the canvas side of your strop to clean the cutting edge after each shave.  If you won’t be using your razor for more than a couple of days, you will need to cover it with a light coat of oil to ensure it stays rust-free, this is particularly important with carbon steel blades.  We always recommend taking your straight razor to a professional for sharpening unless you have extensive honing experience as its easy to make an irreparable mistake and damage your blade.  If you’re looking for an expert get in touch – we can refer you to a pro-sharpener!
