Shavette Razor
The shavette is a close relative to the straight razor, the difference being that the blades can be changed, like a safety razor, removing the need for the extensive maintenance required to keep straight razors in good nick.

How to prepare this shavette:

• With the blade still in its wrapper, carefully bend it lengthways until you feel the blade snap.  Remove the wrapper and safely place to one side.
• Open the hinged cover of the shavette until it’s completely pulled back
• Split the blade holder so the shavette is now fanned out into three parts.
• Carefully take one half of the snapped blade and place it in line with the location pins.
• Carefully close the other side of the blade holder over the blade until the pins go into the holes.  If the blade moves slightly at this point, push black into position, taking care where you place your fingers and push the hinged cover back over the blade holder.  A small portion of the blade edge should now be displayed evenly.

CAUTION: Razors like this one are serious tools that should only be used by very experienced users and can cause serious injury in the wrong hands!
