Situated in the beautiful seaside town of Newquay, Johnny’s Tobacconist is an established and respected local business with a history that dates back to the late 1800s and is Cornwall’s ONLY specialist tobacconist.

Johnny’s opened for trading over 100 years ago and has been ran by the Parkin family since 1970 when Ted took over the already successful business which was, at the time, situated just down the road. After overseeing the shop’s move to its current location on Bank Street and more than 30 happy years at the helm, Ted retired and Johnny’s has been captained by his son Jess for the past 14 years.

Since taking over the business, Jess has gradually changed its focus from a traditional confectioner and tobacco shop, to a specialist tobacconist, selling premium quality tobacco, cigarettes and smoking-related products alongside traditional gentlemen’s accessories such as hip flasks, walking sticks, pocket knives and old-style shaving accessories.

After a request from a customer in 2007, Johnny’s became one of the first retail outlets in the UK to sell electronic smoking products and we are now well respected in the vaping community for our expert advice, vast range of top quality e-liquids and ever-expanding range of hardware.
