Sherlock Holmes Meershaum Pipe – Medium
We love this unique, hand-carved meerschaum, featuring the one and only Sherlock Holmes, complete with deerstalker hat and even smoking his very own pipe!

Fitted with an attractive, marbled, amber-coloured, lucite stem which is hand turned and features a fishtail mouthpiece.

Presented in its very own bespoke hard case, lined with velvet and featuring a metal clasp-style closure to keep it out of harms way when not in use.

Meerschaum is a highly sought after material in pipe making, popular with craftspeople as it is extremely easy to work with when wet, enabling them to create unique works of art and showcase their skills.

The snowy white mineral, made from fossilised sea creatures, is also very porous and will darken as it it used, eventually turning to caramel and dark brown colours.

PLEASE NOTE: Meerschaum can be fragile, especially when your pipe is new, make sure you never take it apart to clean while it’s still warm, wait for the pipe to properly cool and never bang the bowl on a hard surface when emptying – it’s sure to break!
